Here’s a polished, warm, deeply sincere message that reflects everything you want to communicate with clarity, care, and professionalism:
We hope you are all staying safe and warm during this stretch of extreme cold. After much thought and careful consideration, and out of respect for the well‑being of our hardworking crew, we have made an important decision regarding this week’s schedule.
Our team has spent the entire day out in the frigid temperatures, plowing, cleaning, and preparing our trucks to serve you. They have been working tirelessly, and with the temperatures now dropping below zero, we feel it is safest—for both our employees and our community—to push the Sunday night route back one additional day.
For this week only, all Sunday night customers will be picked up on Tuesday. If your garbage is already out, please leave it at the curb. Our team will make sure it is collected.
Our plan is to begin running Monday’s route early Tuesday morning, and as soon as those pickups are completed, our crew will move immediately into the Sunday night route. We will not be waiting until the usual 7 PM start time. As soon as Monday’s route is finished, they will head directly into catching up Sunday’s pickups. Please have your garbage out and visible so it can be collected at the earliest possible convenience.
We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and kindness as we navigate this severe weather. The safety of our employees and the quality of service to our customers remain our top priorities.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out by call, text, chat, or email. We are here for you.
Thank you for being a valued part of the D.A. Davenport Disposal family. Stay safe and stay warm.
